:
Ireland 1209. An island on the border of the earth. A little band of monks starts a hesitant pilgrimage across an island ripped between hundreds of tribal war as well as the developing force of Norman invaders. Escorting that their monastery holiest relic to Rome the monk’s improvement is observed through the eyes of a young beginner and also a mute lay-brother having an abusive past. Since the genuine substance, religious and political importance of the bejeweled relic becomes dangerously evident, their route into the east coast becomes increasingly filled with risk. The monks belatedly recognize that in that wild territory of ancient superstitions, the religion that moves them together might finally lead to their own destruction.
